Toledo gets low-cost loan for water plant design work

Toledo is one of 19 Iowa cities sharing in a total of $20.8 million in state loans for water improvements.

The city has been awarded $286,000 low-interest state revolving fund loan for planning and design for a new water treatment plant.

According to a news release the Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources jointly administer the State Revolving Fund.

The city engineer did not respond to an email comment seeking information on the porject by deadline.
