What’s Happening at the Wieting?
On Saturday, May 9, the Meskwaki Food Sovereignty Initiative will present their 3rd annual Food Film Festival,. It starts at 10 a.m. and runs all day until 8 p.m. that evening. Come and go as you please. These films are free to the public viewing. The Meskwaki committee will also have a bake sale for the Senior Garden and the committee will have door prizes.
The schedule for the films and titles are:
10:00 – 1:30 a.m. – Genetic Roulette
12 noon – 1:05 p.m.. – Lunch Line
1:50 – 3:15 p.m. – A Place at the Table
3:45 – 4:50 p.m. – Tena Firma
6:00 – 7:00 p.m. – Drumbeat for Mother Earth.
Discussion follows each film.
