Darrell "Butch" Everett Bogue Sr.

Darrell “Butch” Everett Bogue Sr., 69, of Garwin, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his home. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. A Memorial Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 10-11 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Darrell was born on December 4, 1945, in Toledo, Iowa, the son of Everett and Mable (Thomas) Bogue.

Darrell served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1966.

On August 8, 1964, he was united in marriage to Katherine Sue See in Le Grand, Iowa. Butch loved being outside feeding chickens, gardening, fishing, hunting and cutting wood. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His favorite songs were, “I Did It My Way” by Elvis Presley and “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson.

Survivors include five children, Diane, Darrell Jr., Donna, Donald and Duane; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Romeo Scott Buffalo and Isaac Molina; one sister, Nancy Buckley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Katherine on May 25, 2015; and one bro
