Get to know your community and your community resources at this fun and free event on Thur., October 21 from 5-7 p.m.

The ‘This is Us’ community and family event series returns to the Tama-Toledo area this month after a year hiatus in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event this year will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thur., Oct. 21 at the Tama Civic Center. It is free and open to the public.

During the event there will be hands-on activities, food and door prizes.

Iowa Valley Community College District, ISU Extension Office-Tama County, Mid-Iowa Community Action and Meskwaki Higher Education have collaborated to offer a family friendly gathering to help promote unity, diversity and to support the community.

The goal of this event is to help educate community members in a fun and interactive way of the opportunities and resources available in Tama County, as well as getting to know their neighbors and what the local businesses and organizations offer in the area.
