South Tama Homecoming goes on

South Tama held Homecoming week Sept. 21-25. Due to COVID-19 some of the regular activities looked a little different this year.

A reverse parade was held at the STC High School. Sports teams, the Homecoming Court, the STC Marching Band, etc. were each stationed at locations along the school property. Citizens were invited to drive through the school grounds.

Following the parade Coronation was held. The court consisted of Queen candidates: Morgan Haughey, Tylese Rosenberger, Sydney Parizek, Jordyn Cremeans and Alyssa Chyma. King candidates included Brayden Smith, Payton Vest, Kalem Schrock, Jhonny Nunez and Matthew Wiese.

Tylese Rosenberger and Jhonny Nunez were crowned Queen and King.

The football game was held Friday, Sept. 25. The Trojans fell to CP-U 40-14.

No dance was held due to COVID-19.

Grand Marshalls Steve McAdoo, Marlys Upah and Mary Mixdorf served as 2020 Homecoming Grand Marshall. Dan Lopez was also selected but was out of town.
