Five things to know from Tama County Board of Supervisors

1. The Board of Supervisors approved to re-assign the tax sale of Parcel #18032000001 to Wendling Quarries. Steve Kenkel was present as the representative. They have agreed to pay the back taxes for the land.

2. The Board of Supervisors accepted Pied Pipers property exemption.

3. Levys for fiscal year 2021 were approved. “Levys for the taxes balance with what the state says we should have,” Tama County Auditor, Laura Kopsa said.

4. Mindy Benson of Tama County Emergency Management presented on new id’s for county employees. The project will be paid for through a grant and will take roughly three months to a year to complete.

5. Claims for $114,412.05 were approved.
