T n T Holiday Explosion invites all to “Light Up the Holidays”

Santa Claus has scheduled a special visit here on Sunday, Nov. 20. Although quite busy at his workshop at the North Pole, he's taking time out to take part in the annual Lighted Parade in downtown Toledo. He will also be at the State Bank of Toledo meeting room following the parade for photos and to hand out treats.

The annual Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce kick-off for the festive holiday season gets underway with a full sack of fun this Sunday, Nov. 20, You’re invited to “Light Up the Holidays” in Tama-Toledo.

There’s breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. and the annual Goody Sale starts at 9 a.m. at the Tama-Toledo Country Club.

New this year is a “Taste of Tama-Toledo” with a craft sale in downtown Toledo it is a good time to order your holiday treats and start Christmas shopping. The sale will be in the former Tae Kwon Do location at 112 East High. Admission is a can of food for the Tama County Food Pantry.

Sale chair Tom Wilkerson said there’s a few spots left for late exhibitors but nearly 30 tables have been reserved. Contact Tom at 641-484-4346.

Santa Workshop will be open from 3-5 p.m. at the State Bank of Toledo Meeting Room- Broadway entrance.

At 4:45 p.m., Just for Kix dancers will perform on the Tama County Courthouse square.

Line-up for the annual Lighted Holiday Parade begins at 5 p.m. and late entries should contact Joe Boll at 641-484-4100.

Hot chili will be served at parade time and Tom Turkey will lead it beginning at 5:30 p.m. on East High Street in downtown Toledo. Santa Claus is making a special visit here and will bring up the rear of the parade.

The jolly old gent will be at the State Bank of Toledo Meeting Room for photos and treats for the youngsters after the parade.
