Jamie Marie Stochl
Jamie Marie Stochl, 43, of Winterset and formerly of Tama, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Tama. Funeral ceremonies are currently permitted as a spiritual or religious gathering. However, vulnerable or high risk folks should use discretion in attendance and it is highly recommended that everyone be wearing a mask. Social distancing should still be practiced as well. Jamie was born on February 1, 1977, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Ann (Timm) Stochl Sr.
She attended South Tama Schools and Marshalltown Community College for Nursing.
Jamie worked for UnityPoint Home Healthcare. She loved to take care of animals. Jamie enjoyed the TV show “The Golden Girls” and was a Betty White fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children.
Survivors include her children, Ashton Stochl and Madison Duggan; her parents, Marvin and Ann Stochl Sr. of Tama; siblings, Lori (Mark) Bonnell of Boone, Debbie (Dan) Fetters of Montour, Marvin (Spring) Stochl Jr. of Tama, Mike (Amy) Zeman of Tama, and Danielle (Jose) Rangel of Toledo; aunts, Phyllis (Joe) DuFour, and Martha Stochl; uncle, Steve (Jo) Timm; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Allen; her maternal and paternal grandparents; and cousin, Jerry DuFour.
A memorial fund will be established for her son’s college education.
