"Overall I'm happy with our performance. We were down about five guys because of play rehearsal, but we still scored a lot of team points. Keith Keahna and Drake Crawford have been excellent leaders for us, and they proved it last night. I'm excited for what the rest of the season has in store for us," said coach Danny Mayo.

The South Tama girls team also finished in 3rd place as a team behind 1st place Center Point-Urbana with 134 points and Newton in 2nd with 108 points. Other team results included East Marshall in 4th (88.5), BCLUW in 5th (67), Ankeny in 6th (39), Oelwein in 7th (36.5) and GMG in 8th (9).

The girls Distance Medley relay team including Gracie Vest, Morgan Haughey, Caitlyn Stochl and Alyssa Chyma took first as did the girls shuttle hurdle relay including Ashton Graham, Caitlyn Stochl, Stacey Slaven and Jojo Tyynismaa. "The girls really competed very tough on their home oval. We got some key points and a first place finish from the Distance Medley team of Gracie Vest, Shelby Slaven, Caitlyn Stochl and Alyssa Chyma. Along with numerous personal records and season bests. Jojo Tyynismaa's time in the 100 m hurdles set a new school record and she will be on the hunt for a Drake qualification, " said coach Levi Hunerdosse.
