The South Tama Trojans hosted two games to close out last week. The Trojans played cross-conference opponent Central DeWitt on Friday and turned around for a WaMaC West conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

On Friday the Trojans, who are still searching for their first win of the season, fell to the 8-8 Central DeWitt Sabers. Keith Keahna led the Trojans with 22 points and 12 rebounds, picking up his fifth double-double performance of the season. STC sophomore Matthew Wiese had a career high of 11 points and 6 rebounds. The Trojans played a competitive game against the Sabers but fell 57-48.

Less than 24 hours later STC (0-18) were back on the court to host Independence (3-15) for a make-up game. Keahna once again led the Trojans with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Junior, Tyrin Lasley had a season high of 13 points while Bishop Chavez chipped in 8 rebounds.

South Tama has two more regular season games this season, both of which are make-up games. They will travel to Solon on Thursday and host Center Point-Urbana on Friday. Next Monday the Trojans will come up against defending Class 3A State Runner-Up Oskaloosa for their first round of Substate. The game will be held on Monday, February 18 at 8 p.m. in Oskaloosa.
