Kvidera, rural Toledo, who died at age 22 aboard the USS?Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, is escorted from Tama to Traer for funeral services and burial on Friday, Nov. 16. South Tama High School students line U.S. Highway 63 in respect as the procession led by state troopers, Toledo and Tama Police, Tama County Sheriff vehicles, Toledo and Tama fire trucks and ambulances passes by the high school in Tama. An effort to identify the remains of U.S. military casualties is an ongoing project by the defense POW/MIA?Accounting Agency. Kvidera was accounted for on July 3, 2018.
