Saturday, Nov. 10

Toledo American Legion annual Turkey diner, served 4:30- 7 p.m.- 109. N. Main

Sunday, Nov. 11

11 a.m.- Toledo American Legion Ceremony at the Court House 11:00, if inclement weather program will be at the Legion Hall.

11 a.m.- Bells for Peace- bells to ring Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. signifying the 100th anniversary of the Armistice ending World War I. Area project for Tama American Legion and Sons of the American Legion.

2 p.m.- Screening- "Sergeant York" at Wieting Theatre, 101 S. Church, Toledo sponsored by the Tama County American Legion and County American Legion Auxiliary.

406 p.m.- Veterans Day Open House at Tama County Historical Society Museum, 200 No. Broadway, Toledo. Marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.

The open house will feature WWI-era photos, newspaper headlines, and artwork related to Tama County in the Great War. Special refreshments will include snacks made with WWI-era recipes.

Monday, Nov. 12

9 a.m.- Toledo American Legion program at South Tama Elementary School, 1611 Country Club Dr., Tama
