Upon opening, the new church featured seating in the sanctuary for over 200 parishioner. It was noted in The News-Herald story reporting the new church building that the pews were "padded"

On Saturday, April 14, a time for reminiscence about the church will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a potluck dinner. Several former pastors have been invited to join in the celebration.

Everyone is invited and may bring an item to share if they wish, says Rev. Oliver.

On Sunday, April 15, a joint service with members of the Christ United Methodist Church, Toledo, and Living Faith congregations of Tama and Montour will begin at 10 a.m. in Tama.

The Rev. Oliver has announced he will be leaving to serve the United Methodist Church in Muscatine effective July 1. He has served as pastor of the United Methodist churches at Tama, Toledo and Montour approaching eight years.
