Carol A. Paper

Visitation for Carol A. Paper, 68, of Bettendorf, formerly of Clinton, IL, was held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. Per her wishes, her body was donated to the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine for medical research and education. Ms. Paper passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her daughter's home in Bettendorf following a brief illness.

Carol Ann Coomer was born on December 27, 1948 in Tama, IA, the daughter of Robert and Devota (Moyer) Coomer. She graduated from Marycrest College in Davenport with a Bachelors degree in social work. Carol worked as a social worker at Prelude Behavioral Services, formerly MECCA Services, in Iowa City. Following her retirement, she worked at Walgreens in Clinton, IL. She lived an eccentric life of service to others and entertained all with her sassy sense of humor.

She is survived by her Daughters: Kristen (Lars) Mullin Bakken of Seattle, WA, Stacey (Paul) Struck of Bettendorf; Brothers: John Coomer of Clinton, IL, Douglas Coomer of Fairview Heights, IL; two Grandsons: Alexander Springer and Jonah Struck; and two Granddogs: Scout and Mads Bakken.
