Series of local seminars set to educate on being prepared for retirement

May 26, 2015
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

The insurance and financial arena is an ever changing venue. There are many ideas on what is the best way for people to protect themselves, their families, as well as prepare for what the future has in store for us. We at State Farm understand this and are interested in opening up in dialog with people in our community.

A lot of people when approaching retirement make decisions with little to no preparation. People don't know who to turn to and do not trust many of the professionals in this area. They make decisions based off what their friends or family has done in the past. The problem with this is the world is a different place and there are risks out there that can turn your golden years upside down. Risks like longevity or inflation risk. People on average are living well into their 80s and 90s and that number is going to continue to rise. The risk of outliving your assets is more real than ever before.

We are planning on conducting a series of seminars in the upcoming months. The purpose of these seminars is to do one thing and one thing only; educate our community members on topics such as Long Term Care planning, Social Security, Pension Maximization and ensuring people are prepared for and can live out their retirement the way they have envisioned.

The idea behind this is to have a little fun, sample a little wine at our local winery, and also get updated on what is happening in these areas. We would like to extend an invitation to you to attend one of these events. If you are interested in learning more and wanting to have a little fun in the process, please contact State Farm to RSVP for these events. Seating is going to be limited.
