August 30, 2014
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Before Judge Mitchell E. Turner in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Chad Alan Stechon, 44, entered a written guilty plea to eluding or attempting to elude law enforcement. A $625 fined was suspended because court records note Stechon is in prison.

According to court records, Stechon was charged on Sept. 7, 2011, after Tama County Sheriff Dennis Kucera approached a vehicle Stechon was operating with an arrest warrant for him. Stechon sped off, ran stop signs and sped on highways and through cities until abandoning his vehicle and fleeing on foot in a wooded creek area near Elberon.
