Before Judge Mitchell E. Turner in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Joshua Eugene Schoenhut, 31, Montour, entered written guilty pleas to a charge of 1st degree harassment and separate drug charges.

For harassment he was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term, fined $625 and was placed on unsupervised probation for two years.

He was charged on March 14 with harassing an ex-girlfriend at various times between Jan. 27 and March 1. A five-year protective order was also issued by the court. The charge was filed by Tama County deputy Sheriff Bruce Rhoads.

Schoenhut also entered written guilty pleas to possession of marijuana and prohibited acts - keeping, permitting or maintaining premises for drugs.

For prohibited acts he was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term, consecutive to the harassment charge, fined $625 and to two years self-supervised probation. His driver's license was revoked for 180 days. For possession he was sentenced to 14 days in jail and fined $315.

The drug charges were filed in the 200 block of West Elm street, Montour, on Aug. 13, 2013, by Chad Hillers, Marshalltown Police officer assigned to the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force.

Surrell Jade Youngbear, 18, rural Tama, entered a written guilty plea to assaulting a police officer. She received a deferred judgment, was assessed a $315 civil penalty and was placed on self-supervised probation.

She was charged on July 15 by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Brock Gilbert after she allegedly threw rocks at the officer's head and torso.
