Car accidents injure four in Tama

A two car accident occurred on Highway 63 on Monday Aug. 18 at approximately 5:25 p.m. in Tama.

Two vehicles were travelling south bound near the main entrance of the STC high school when one vehicle rear-ended the other vehicle involved in the crash.

Three individuals were sent to Grinnell Regional Medical Center, two from one vehicle and one from the other vehicle.

Responding to the incident were the Tama and Toledo police departments and Tama Fire and EMS.

A police report was not available by deadline

Pedestrian Injured

On Thursday August 7 Linda White of Malcom was driving on the inside lane of Highway 63 in the 1700 block of Harding Street.

White struck J. Trinidad Razo-France with her vehicle.

In a police report White stated that she saw Razo-France standing in the roadway in the middle not moving. She stated she moved into the other lane to go around him and when she got next to him she stated he ran right into the side of her car.

Vincent Razo, son of Razo-France translated for his father saying he does not see well and did not think he would get hit. Razo-France had some lacerations that required medical attention. He was transported to the hospital by his son. White did not need any medical assistance.

Officer Barnette Curry was the responding officer.
