Ramona is the creator of the Fresh FACS blog and we are appreciated her knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm that she brings to us for FCS! Presentations, educational sessions, and speakers, were offered enabling participants to examine critical issues facing educators and families today, including 21st Century Skills, financial literacy, and infusing technology into the classroom. The Monday night awards banquet honored educators, students, and community members for demonstrating excellence in FCS education.

In addition, keynote speaker Jeff Weld, addressed the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and FCS educators had the opportunity to think about their curriculum and how STEM already fits into their FCS classes. Participants also heard from the Goodwill Industries as they enlighten teachers with a fashion show and talked about the importance of recycling in style. Educators also had the experience to learn and share with their colleagues through roundtable discussion groups focusing on a variety of topics to take back into their communities to strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
