Before Judge Fae Hoover-Grinde in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Aaron Michael Jones, 25, Toledo entered a written guilty plea to driving while barred. He was fined $625. A request was granted to allow performing community service at a rate of $7.25 in lieu of paying the fine.

Jones was charged on June 24 on Business Highway 30 in Toledo by Toledo Police Chief Bob Kendall.

Melvin Bernard Davis, 44, Des Moines, entered a written guilty plea to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. He was assess a $65 fine and court costs. A request was granted to allow performing community service at a rate of $7.25 in lieu of paying the fine.

Davis was originally charged with assault by Toledo Police Officer Nathan Wunn.

Taylor Kenneth Johnson, 19, rural Montour, entered a written guilty plea to 1st offense drunken driving. He was fined $1,250, sentenced to 48 hours in jail and his driver;s license was ordered revoked for 190 days. request was granted to allow performing community service at a rate of $7.25 in lieu of paying the fine.

Johnson was charged on April 19 in the 1000 block of South Broadway by Toledo Police Officer Andrea Young.

Thomas De La Torre, 42, Toledo, entered a written guilty plea to 1st offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, fined $1,250 and his driver's license was revoked for six months. A total of $625 of the fine was waived and his request was granted to allow performing community service at a rate of $7.25 in lieu of paying the fine.

De La Torre was charged on May 19 in the 1000 block of South Broadway, Toledo, by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Brian Randall.

James Dean Shefchik, 42, rural Toledo, entered a written guilty plea to public intoxication - 3rd or subsequent offense. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail to be served concurrently with a sentence for assault without intent. He was fined $625.

Shefchik was arrested on April 26 in the Hotel Toledo lobby by Toledo Police Officer Andrea Young.
