Rose Ann Trasak, 77 formerly of Chelsea, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at the Hiawatha Care Center.
A funeral service celebrating Rose Ann's life was held on Monday, Aug. 11, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine with Pastor Gayle Wilcox of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids, officiating.
Survivors include her three sons, Paul (Audrey) Trasak, Cedar Rapids, Jeff (Diane) Trasak, Atkins, and Rick (Dawana) Trasak, Vinton; brothers, William Steggall, Ely and Daniel (Tanya) Steggall, Solon, numerous nieces, nephews, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rose Blazek Steggall, husband, Leonard, in 1994, and brothers, Dick and Doug Steggall.
Rose Ann Steggall was born Aug. 11, 1936, in Cedar Rapids. She graduated Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids in 1954 and married Leonard Trasak on Jan. 22, 1955. She spent her life as a homemaker and worked with Leonard on the family farm until Leonard's death on April 29, 1994. She remained on the farm until May of 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her computer, family, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
