-Second in Series-

Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

South Tama County United Fund (STCUF) is a local non-profit organization serving 16 other agencies. These agencies are local organizations that depend on the gifts given by STCUF each year.

Our campaign is from a period beginning in August through mid-November. Our goal this year is to raise $50,000 to meet the needs of the agencies.

One of the main goals is to combine fundraising efforts in the South Tama Community. These funds come from donations from people like you and community organizations and serve a wide variety of community needs.

Here is an account of one of the projects United Fund helps support-

CIRSI Vine St. Residence

October 9, 2014, was a big day in the lives of some incredible ladies who receive services from Cl RSI. These ladies moved to a "new" house in a wonderful neighborhood on Vine Street.

The house was purchased by the Tama County Arc.

This house was a true blessing for, these ladies; their previous residence was nice, but they needed a house which would allow them the space to add an additional roommate. As we all know, with moving there are always additional costs and needs that arise that you are not prepared to handle all at once. Due to a generous contribution from the South Tama County United Fund, these ladies were able to turn their house into a home. There were blinds for the living room patio door that were purchased, a floor lamp for their living room, a cordless handheld vacuum and we are looking to purchase an outdoor glider. The glider will allow the ladies to enjoy their new home's yard and neighborhood in comfort.

These four women are thankful for this new home and the South Tama County United Fund for helping them turn their house into their home.
