Before Judge Ian K. Thornhill in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Corey Allen Williams, 33, Garwin was sentenced in a series of cases after entering guilty pleas.

Williams pleaded guilty to June 18 charges of domestic abuse assault - 2nd offense and two counts of child endangerment - substantial risk.

He was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term for domestic assault and concurrent two-year, suspended terms for child endangerment. Williams was ordered to complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program within 210 days. Fines totaling $625 on each charge were suspended.

He was placed on probation for one year and directed to pay a $300 supervisory enrollment fee.

Williams was charged on June 18 in the 100 block of 1st Street, Garwin, by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bryan Ellenbecker.

Williams pleaded guilty to an April 12, charge of assault causing bodily injury and was fined $315 and directed to pay victim restitution. He was charged on April 12 for assaulting a 16-year-old male in Garwin by punching him in the face and pushing him to the ground. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Brian Randall.

Williams also entered a guilty plea to a May 14 domestic abuse assault charge. He was sentenced to 23 days in jail with credit for 23 days served, fined $315 and again directed to complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program within 210 days. He has been charged for assaulting his wife by grabbing her throat and squeezing by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bruce Rhoads.

Levi Cruz Troxell, 19, Tama, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. He received a deferred judgment, was assessed a $315 civil fine and placed on supervised probation. He is to pay a $300 supervisory enrollment fee.

Troxell was charged on Dec. 30, 2013, by Tama Police Officer Barnette Curry.

Michael Dean Dickerson, 24, Grinnell, pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He received a deferred judgment, was assessed a $315 civil penalty and was directed to complete drinking driver's school. He must also pay a $300 supervisory enrollment fee to the Department of Correctional Services.

Dickerson was charged on June 8 at 3rd and Main streets in Garwin while operating what court records lists as a small dirt bike / motorcycle. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt.
