Oak Ridge MX, located at 1324 280th Street, Garwin, will host their first race of the season this Sunday, July 27. Track co founder, Jon Kriegel, said the D22 Iowa Championship Series Race will offer a day of great racing with both dirt bikes and quads taking the track.
Gates open at 7 a.m. with the first race to begin at 10 a.m. Riders sign up is from 7 to 9 a.m. with a riders meeting at 8:45.
Cash prizes, $35 for trophy class and $40 for cash class will be awarded. There is a gate fee for spectators with age 3 and under at no charge. Bring a chair and enjoy a day of exciting racing. Concession will be available.
"In addition to the race Sunday, we are excited to be hosting a Pro Amateur series Sept. 20 and 21. Our Pro Am is one of the largest motocross races in the Midwest. The facility accommodates all skill levels and includes one large track for 65cc to 450cc and two small tracks, a 50cc JR and a 50cc SR track, as well as overnight camping. Upcoming practices open to all ages and skill levels are scheduled on Aug. 9, 30 and 31.
