Clara Boldt of Toledo was named Trainer of the Year at the Gold Wing Road Riders "Wing Ding" (annual convention/rally) in Madison, Wisc. Clara is a Master University Trainer for the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and is a certified presenter in all three GWRRA Programs: Leadership Training, Rider Education, and Membership Enhancement.
She is the Iowa District Trainer and one of several Region E trainers. Region E consists of 8 states and is one small part of the GWRRA International Organization of more than 72,000 members all over the world. Clara is one of many volunteers that oversee the Fun, Safety & Knowledge of the GWRRA Members as well as helping Educate communities on the Safety of being Aware and becoming Knowledgeable and having Fun while doing so.
The award was presented on July 4 by Paul Broshar, International Director of Leadership Training for GWRRA during the Leadership Training Open Forum Program. Also, present for the award were Clara's husband, Fred and Grandson Riley Jones of Darrington, WA.

For the Gold Wing Road Riders Association a total of 51 percent of what they do is education; educating not only the motorcycle riders but the non-riders as well. The University Trainers for the Gold Wing Road Riders Association put in countless hours presenting seminars. They present not only to the Gold Wing Riders but to any organization/group who would be interested in learning more about sharing the road with motorcycle riders.
