Flooding from the Iowa River continued to slow Thursday morning, July 3, on the U.S. Highway 30 Expressway near the bridge about six miles west of Toledo or two miles north of Montour. Both east and westbound traffic lanes have been reduced to one-way from the Tama County Road T47 east junction (Garwin) and the T47 junction west (Montour.) Pumps were sending a small current of water across the traveled portion which motorists drove through eastbound at 7:45 a.m. The Iowa River has reported to have crested at Marshalltown.

U.S. Highway 63 is closed at the Iowa River bridge on the south side of Tama as are Tama County roadways which cross the river.

Tama County Road E49 between Tama and Montour is closed at the Powwow Grounds west of Tama.
