"We've had pretty incredible support," said Stan Upah, who with his wife, Charlotte, owns USS?Polaris, the Toledo business devastated by fire on Friday, June 20.
He was at the Toledo City Council meeting on Monday night, June 23, to express his gratitude to the fire departments and others in the community who had come to their aid.
Much of Charlotte Upah's Income Tax and Bookkeeping Service which was also housed in the complex along with Dostal Construction offices were heavily damaged as well. Fire departments from Tama, Montour, Garwin and Traer responded to a mutual aid call from the Toledo Fire Department to battle the blaze in the large metal buildings on U.S. Highway 63 (North County Road) on Toledo's north side.
