Marv Hlas is the first gift card recipient for reading over 1,800 pages at the Toledo Library. This year the library is holding a summer reading program, Literary Elements, for adults to participate in.
Through a grant from the Shopko Foundation, the library was able to purchase $5 gift cards from a variety of local businesses as incentives for our adult readers.
Once the readers have chosen their gift card and continue to read to 2,500 pages, they are eligible to put their name into the drawing for a $50 gift card to a local business.

So, for all of you that enjoy reading, stop into the library and get signed up. The program began June 2 and runs through Aug. 9.
The library is in full swing this summer with Movie Mondays, Crafty Wednesdays and Teen Food and Fun Fridays all in June.
These groups had a really great time creating robots out of all kinds of scraps. They used paper, aluminum, nut & bolts, screws and washers, googlie eyes and lot of glue to make some very fine robots.
Crafty Wednesdays takes place each year at the Toledo Library in June.
