June 13, 2014
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

The Wieting Theatre is once again pleased and proud to host Dr. Alan Huckleberry, Assistant Professor of Piano at the University of Iowa. The first time Huckleberry was here he accompanied his wife, Heather Mallory Huckleberry as she played the oboe, as well as providing background music for Gary Zmolek's Robert Frost reading.

On Saturday, June 14, at 1 p.m., Dr. Huckleberry will share his consummate skills with a solo piano concert.

Dr. Huckleberry is an active solo pianist and chamber musician, as well as a sought after master class clinician and lecturer on piano pedagogy. ('Piano pedagogy is the study of the teaching of piano playing. Whereas the professional field of music education pertains to the teaching of music in school classrooms or group settings, piano pedagogy focuses on the teaching of musical skills to individual piano students.'
