Toledo Police to collect unused prescription drugs on June 14

On Saturday, June 14, the Toledo Police?Department will be collecting unused or unwanted prescription drugs at the Police?Department, 214 W. High St. from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

This effort is an event to collect and safely dispose of unwanted drugs.

The department hopes this "take back" event serves a precautionary effort to safeguard citizens from potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring in any prescriptions you no longer want or use, no questions asked. If you are concerned about privacy issues, you may either remove the label from the prescription bottle or you may place the prescription medications in a disposable container.

The following items will NOT be accepted by Toledo Police for the "take back" event: syringes, needles, inhalers, intravenous solutions or any over-the-counter medications.

If you are nable to drop off unsued or unwanted medications during the event, you may drop them off any time when an officer is at the Police?Department.
