State Farm Insurance relocates to new offices- Open House June 6

The familiar services and office of State Farm Insurance can still be found in downtown Toledo- just in a different location after 50 some years at 128 East High.

Remodeling of the new location has recently been completed for local agent Adam Andersen and the offices are now open at 101 South County Road (corner of U.S. Highway 63 and West High St. Andersen purchased the property which formerly was the location of Heartland Dental which itself relocated to the office complex on U.S. Highway 63 adjacent to The State Bank of Toledo south location.

Andersen said benefits of the spacious new offices includes a total of five offices along with a conference room and a free-use room for small community meetings accommodating 8-10 people.

In addition to Andersen, Deanne Greider, registered representative, new employee and Darcy Smith, multi-line representative, will be at the location.

Andersen said he was able to complete the entire remodeling project all with local contractors and suppliers. They included Kailyn Struve, carpentry, Keith Struve, plumbing, Shane Bingham, electrical, Stein-Hrabak Floor covering and Hrabak Lumber, materials.

The building may be remembered as a Standard Service station operated first by the Lorezen brothers and later others.

An open house will be held on the summer's first Footloose Friday, June 6 from 4-6 p.m. to showcase the new offices.

The Tama County Cattlemen will be grilling and guests will be invited ot register for drawings for a variety of prizes including and IPOD.

Adam Andersen took over State Farm Agency here two years ago after having served as a claims representative for five years in Lincoln, Neb. and then as a marketing consultant in Cedar Rapids for 28 State Farm offices.

He and his wife, Tracy, have two children Adili, 9, and Averie, 6.

Adam serves on the board for the Tama-Toledo Family Aquatic Center board, Tama Public Library, Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce and Blue Pride. He has been active in the Crop Walk and assisting with local 5K Runs.

Tracy is a cardiac care nurse at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
