Ginger Jefferson murder trial underway in Toledo

Jury selection was completed on Tuesday and witnesses were being called in the 1st degree murder trial of Ginger Lea Jefferson in Tama County District Court in Toledo.

Jefferson, 57, of Toledo, is accused of 1st degree murder in the stabbing death of her daughter-in-law, Kerry O'Clair Jefferson, 32, Tama, at a residence in Tama on Sept., 25.

The charge was filed by Tama Police Chief Jeff Filloon and later in a County Attorney's information

The homicide allegedly occurred at a house located at 104 Harmon Street shortly before 3 p.m. that day.
