The STC Girls Tennis Team traveled to Eldora on May 8 to take on the South Hardin Tigers in NICL Girls Tennis Action. The Trojans once again crushed an opponent in doubles play to secure a 6-3 victory for their fifth consecutive win.
STC Seniors Emily Martin and Madison Baack teamed at #1 Doubles to face Ellen Swartz and Hannah Reifschneider. Martin/Baack ran their season doubles record to 10-0 as they posted an 8-3 win for STC.
At #2 Doubles, Cailtin Svacina and Tori Appelgate took on Mikayla Fisher and Kailey Richard. The duo from STC never trailed in the match and converted an 8-3 win for the Trojans.

South Tama's Taylor Muhlstein and Sydney Meek outclassed their opponents at #3 Doubles. Muhlstein/Meek defeated Emily Haywood and Rachel Miller by a score of 8-1.
In singles action, Swartz jumped out to an early lead and went on to defeat Martin 8-2 at #1 Singles.
Baack battled Fisher at #2 Singles. The two engaged in a slug fest before Baack imposed her will en route to an 8-3 win.
Appelgate baffled Reifschneider at #3 Singles as she recorded a bagel win for the Trojans 8-0.
Svacina got down early against Richard in #4 Singles Play by a score of 2-7. Ever the fighter, she fought back to make the match interesting before falling 5-8.
Muhlstein represented STC at #5 Singles against Haywood. Muhlstein raced to a 4-1 lead to put herself in a winning position. She ultimately posted an 8-3 win for her team.
At #6 Singles, Meek faced Miller. Meek built a 3-2 lead; however, Miller stayed steady in order to convert an 8-4 win for the Tigers.
In junior varsity action, South Hardin took the win 4-3 over the Trojans. STC got wins from Natalie Stadler/Megan Mann, Natalie Wesely/Rachael McAdoo, and Lisa Morrow/Jessica McFate.
