The gymnastics team from Prairie Fire Gymnastics capped off their season by winning several medals at the USAG Jr. Olympic Iowa State meet over the March 15th weekend. Gymnasts must qualify for state during the regular season by achieving a required all-around score, which differs for each level. For level 7, the qualifying score is 31, for levels 8 and 9 it is 32. Every gymnast on Prairie Fire's level 7-9 team qualified for state this year.

Competing for level 8 in the junior age division, Anna Glendy placed fourth on vault and fifth on beam.

Courtney Anderson, also a level 8, competed in the senior age division. Anderson placed 3rd in vault, 5th on bars, 3rd in floor exercise and 5th in all-around. Anderson also qualified for Regionals. Qualifying gymnasts from seven states will compete at the Region 4 Junior Olympic Regional meet in Fargo, ND on Sunday, April 13. Courtney will be one of the level 8 gymnasts representing Iowa at regionals.
