Pitch, Hit Run Clinic

The South Tama High School baseball team will be hosting its 10th Annual Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run competition on Saturday, May 10th starting at 3:00 PM at the high school baseball field. This national initiative gives boys and girls, ages 7-14, the chance to showcase their pitching, hitting, and running abilities. Boys and girls compete separately at all levels of competition.

Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the "FUN" element of baseball/softball. Everyone has the opportunity to participate. Participants will compete in each of the three components of Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run and accumulate a total score based on his/her performance.

Age is determined as of July 17, 2014. The following chart is an age group breakdown for the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit, and Run events in 2014:

Age 7/8 July 18, 2005 - July 17, 2007

Age 9/10 July 18, 2003 - July 17, 2005

Age 11/12 July 18, 2001 - July 17, 2003

Age 13/14 July 18, 1999 - July 17, 2001

Registration forms are available in the STC Middle School and Elementary offices. Information can also be obtained from Head Coach Seth Koch at the high school. (484-4345) Participants are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the competition.
