ST/EM hosted Hudson on Thursday in a 4:30 match time start. ST/EM started the game with Hanna Keckler in goal, Cynthia Lares, Hailee Weiss, Sadie Kavalier, and Ericka Dunning in defense, Araceli Angel, Kylee Hoskins, Dani Stubbs and Sam Earley in mid-field, with Mona Munez and Erin Filloon as forwards. The weather was cloudy, windy and cool.

Hudson won the toss and took the wind the first half. And the game was on. It was a game that was played in the ST/EM midfield, with the ball going back and forth.

ST/EM had a couple of chances, but could not covert. Hudson had chances as well, but again the ST/EM defense kept them out of danger. In the 28th minute, Hudson had a free kick from about 35 yards out, and on a nice kick broke the tie for a 1-0 lead. This seemed to rattle the ST/EM defense, and Hudson scored less than a minute later for 2-0 lead.

At the 32 minute mark, a hand ball in the box was called against ST/EM. Hudson converted the kick for a 3-0 lead. Hannah Keckler made a good try on the PK, and got a hand on it and pushed it wide, but not wide enough as it hit the post and stayed in the goal. Hudson added one more goal right before half for a 4-0 lead.

The second half found Hudson controlling the flow and they added a goal in the 44th minute for a 5-0 lead. Hudson added two more goals in the 52 and 59 minute for a 7-0 lead. ST/EM then picked their game up and had a couple of good attacks. Dani Stubs had a good shot but was just wide. Sam Early had a free kick, but was right at the goalie. And this is the way the game ended with Hudson taking a 7-0 win.

ST/EM played well on the evening, and the game was closer than the final score indicated. ST/EM had 3 corners to 7 for Hudson. Hudson had 34 shots and ST/EM had 5. ST/EM except for a 3 minute stretch in the first half played with a very good Hudson team.

ST/EM won their share of the 50-50 balls, and had some good passing combinations. The team continues to improve from game to game. The players were positive before the game, and were also that way after the game. ST/EM came out ready to play on the evening, and it showed in the effort. Socorro Mendoza, Abby Llewellyn, Jocelyn Veliz, Kylee Hoskins and Anna Jensen all contributed to the effort off the bench.

The JV game ended up with a 6-0 win going to Hudson.
