A group of Tama area residents have banded together to make what they see as needed improvements to the Lincoln Highway Bridge Park on the city's east side.
They're inviting everyone to join them for a clean up and planting session on Wednesday, May 7, at 10:30 a.m.
Jeannie Sieck, who is one of the group, said the plan is to clean up the park area and do some planting. Those coming to help should bring thier gardening tools to aid in the work.
The plan is to hold a ceremony on Friday, May 16, at the park to kick-off Tama's 35th annual Lincoln Highway Bridge Festival.
