Samantha Holtz, who had a busy week with two meets and Drake Relays, broke the STC school record she previously broke earlier this season at the WAMAC indoor meet with a throw of 39'1". The Trojans also ran at home at the end of the week on Thursday April 24. They celebrated not just Senior Night but also a win for the Trojan team.

"We ran against two exceptional teams in Pekin and PCM and just couldn't compete against their depth. Although we ran well and set 9 PR's there wasn't enough help from the remaining teams to steal points from the top two teams. The shuttle hurdle relay of Julie, Allison, Lauren and Vest continue to run aggressively and keep lowering their school record in this event. Belle Tyynismaa continues to turn out impressive performances in her events. Samantha broke her school record in the shot put again with a throw of 39'1", said Coach George Corum.

"What an exiting night of track and field. MOther nature continues to throw us a curve with all the rain but all the teams weathered the storm. Once the wether calmed, STC controlled the evening. It was a great team victory as several girls were asked to compete in events that they wouldn't nomrally do because of sickness or injury. The shuttle hurdle realy of Julie, Lauren, Allison and Alana broke their school record again with a time of 1:13.86.
