South Tama Seniors Arts Honors Exhibition coming to the Wieting

May 1, 2014
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

The Wieting Theatre Guild is excited to announce that we are bringing back the Senior Arts Honors Exhibition for South Tama County High School Class of 2014!

If you are new to STC, we will give you a little history of the event. It began in 1990 as an event to honor and showcase the talents of individual and small group performers and artists of the senior class at STC. The distinction of the nominee is awarded to seniors who have demonstrated unusual ability in and dedication to the arts in classes and activities. The event ran until 2011. It saddened The Wieting Theatre Guild greatly that seniors the past two years were not able to be honored in this fashion and we decided to take on the task of bringing back this awesome tradition. The renovated Wieting Theatre is the perfect venue. The categories will be expanded to include not only vocal music, instrumental music, individual and large group speech, theatre and visual arts, but also to include dance, creativity, creative writing/ poetry, culinary and textile arts.

The Wieting Theatre Guild gathered the support of the administration of STC High School and Superintendent and took on the task of coordination of the event including the following: advertising, mailings, programs, invitations, reception etc.
