The Montour and Toledo fire departments were called to 1339 290th Street in Montour, Iowa on Tuesday April 8. The Montour and Toledo fire departments were responding to reports of a barn fire. The call came at approximately 12:30 p.m. The barn was located on the Michael and Brenda Dilly farm located about three miles north of Montour. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation according to Montour Fire Chief Loyce Staker. At this time there is no estimated cost of damage. Both fire departments were on the scene until nearly 3:30 p.m. Firefighters were summoned back to the scene on Wednesday morning, April 9, to extinguish hots spots.
