Green Gravel Comedy Fest takes center stage in Toledo this weekend

It's billed as a"a weekend of curated comedy madness" and it's upon us. The Green Gravel Comedy Fest has shows and projects lined up at the Wieting Theatre, Bumblebee's and the Toledo American Legion, from Friday-Sunday, March 28-30.

Jackie Kashian ("Dork Forest") headlines Friday night and Kevin McDonald ("The Kids in the Hall") tops the bill on Saturday evening.

The weekend will feature stand-up comedy, sketch and improv classes, screenings, and podcasts. The festival is the first of its kind in Iowa. The festival is founded by Sioux City native Lee Keeler.

March 30th in Toledo, IA. It will feature stand-up comedy, sketch and

improv classes, screenings, and podcasts. The festival is the first of

its kind in Iowa.

Nationally recognized acts Jackie Kashian (?Dork Forest?) and Kevin

McDonald (?The Kids in the Hall?) will be headlining a roster of the

finest local and nationally known comedians and groups.

Other national and regional acts include: Mat Alano-Martin, Junior

Stopka, Mike Lebovitz, and Martin Morrow. Iowa based acts will

include: Underground Comedy (Des Moines), The Bomb Shelter (Des

Moines), The Blacklist (Quad Cities), Paperback Rhino (Ames), Tom

Garland (Cedar Rapids), and all-female improv troupe Janice (Ames).
