Jefferson murder trial re-set for May

The 1st degree murder trial of Ginger Lea Jefferson, accused of killing her daughter-in-law in Tama has been reset for May 19 in Tama County District Court in Toledo.

Trial had been scheduled for February.

Jefferson, 57, of Toledo, is accused of stabbing Kerry O'Clair Jefferson in a home at 104 Harmon St. on the afternoon of Sept, 25, 2013, in trial information filed by Tama Police Chief Jeff Filloon and the Tama County Attorney's Office. O'Clair-Jefferson, 32, was found dead at the residence by Tama Police who were conducting a welfare check on her at the time.
