The Green Gravel Comedy Fest, a new Iowa based alternative comedy festival, is proud to announce headlining acts for its 2014 festival. Pre-sale passes are now available for the event.
Nationally recognized acts Jackie Kashian ("Dork Forest") and Kevin McDonald ("Kids in the Hall") will be headlining a roster of local and nationally known comedians and comedy groups.
Jackie Kashian is an accomplished stand-up comedian and writer who has appeared on: Conan, This American Life, Comedy Central, and Last Comic Standing. She hosts the renowned "Dork Forest Podcast" which regularly features alternative comedy's biggest stars. Kashian will be performing at the festival and will tape an episode of her "Dork Forest" podcast.

Kevin McDonald is an accomplished actor and was a founding member of the influential "Kids in the Hall" sketch group. The "Kids in the Hall" were featured in their own hit television show, the film "Brain Candy", and many national tours. They are often cited as one of the biggest influences for many of today's comedians. McDonald will be performing, teaching a sketch comedy workshop and hosting a free Q and A session at the festival.
The festival, in its first year, will take place from March 28 through March 30 in Toledo.
It will feature stand-up comedy, sketch and improve classes, screenings, and podcasts. The festival is the first of its kind in Iowa. The festival is founded by Sioux City native Lee Keeler.
Other national and regional acts include: Ryan Singer, Mat Alano-Martin, Junior Stopka, Mike Lebovitz, and Martin Morrow. Iowa based acts will include: Underground Comedy, The Bomb Shelter, The Blacklist, Paperback Rhino, and Tom Garland. The festival will also be accepting submissions for stand-up acts, comedy groups, podcasts and short films.
