The Tama County Board of Supervisors, Kendall Jordan, Dan Anderson and Larry Vest, met Monday morning to receive the report from the Tama County Compensation Board with their recommendations for wages in 2014 regarding those in elected positions.
Nick Podhajsky, Traer and Jim Little, Toledo, were present and told supervisors their committee met recently with only one member absent, Dave Forbes.
Their recommendation was a three per cent raise across the board. Podhajsky said the entire group discussed economic situations, as well as salaries of like counties. They felt the three per cent raise was a fair recommendation.
Those serving on the Compensation Board include James Roan representing County Attorney Brent Heeren, Les Koch representing County Auditor Laura Kopsa, Janice Bazal representing County Recorder Deb Kupka, Dave Forbes representing Sheriff Dennis Kucera, Lesa Haughey representing County Treasurer Michelle Yuska and Jim Little and Nick Podhajsky representing the County Board of Supervisors.
The Board of Supervisors will take the recommendation into consideration and will come to a conclusion when working on the county budget for the coming year.
In other business claims were presented for approval of payment in the amount of $41,416/
