East bound U.S. 30 Expressway slowed by accident near casino

A semi trailer ruck loaded with grain and a passenger car collided at the entrance to the Meskwaki Trading Post about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18. There was believed to be at least one injury. Th semi overturned in he median, partially blocking one lane. A DOT snow plow was brought to the scene to push spilled corn from the road surface. The Toeldo Fire Department and Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene. The Tama County Sheriff's Office and Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police were temporarily diverting eastbound traffic through the Trading Post- Casino-Hotel entrance.
