Before Judge Mary E. Chicchelly in Tama County District court in Toledo:

Tracy Diane Randol, 45, Toledo, entered an Alford Plea to charges of assault with intent to inflict serious injury and 3rd degree harassment. An Alford plea is not an admission of guilt by the defendant, but acknowledges enough evidence is present to likely result in a conviction in court.

Randol was sentenced to a suspended prison term and fined $625 on the assault charge, also suspended and $65 for harassment. She was placed on probation to the Department of Correctional Services for two years and ordered to pay a $300 supervisory enrollment fee.

She was charged on Nov. 10 at an apartment in the 100 block of East High Street in Toledo with assaulting another woman by allegedly striking her in the head and grabbing the victim by the hair and repeatedly striking the victim's head against a hard surface. She is also accused of placing her hand around the victim's neck causing the airway to be restricted. The harassment charge stemmed from a threat of" I'll have to kill you" and threatening to kill the victim's mother, the record states. The charges were filed by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley.

Gregory Earl Gruchow, 34, Traer, pled guilty to assault and was fined $65.

He was charged on June 17 for allegedly assaulting another inmate at the Tama county Jail in Toledo causing a cut above the victim's left eye. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Chad M. Hansen.

Allen Paul Maxfield, 66, Gilman pled guilty to 4th degree theft. He received a deferred judgement and was placed on supervised probation and directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. He was also assessed a $315 civil penalty and directed to pay victim restitution.

Maxfield was charged on July 22 for writing three checks totaling $1,200 to the Meskwaki Casino, rural Tama, which were returned marked "insufficient funds." The charge was filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Kenneth Raymond Brady.

Christina Myong Bennett, 31, Hartford, Iowa, pled guilty to assault causing bodily injury. She was fined $315 and directed to pay court-appointed attorney fees totaling $60.

Bennett was charged following a physical altercation with her live-in boyfriend in the Fareway Grocery parking lot on Sept. 20. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley.

Taimah Duncan, 24, rural Tama, pled guilty to aggravated assault. She was sentenced to two years in prison and fined $625. Both the sentence and fine were suspended. Duncan was placed on supervised probation and directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. She also was ordered to pay victim restitution totaling $11,516.

Duncan was charged on Jan. 13 for allegedly punching a victim in the face causing serious injury. The charge was filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Joel Hols at a location not noted in court records.

Joshua Carroll, 27, Traer, pled guilty to supplying alcohol to a minor and was fined $315.

He was charged on June 8 with providing alcohol to a 16-year-old at a residence in Traer by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak.

JonathanAnthony Patrick Kolkoy, 28, Dayton, Minn. pled guilty to possession of marijuana. He was fined $315, placed on self-supervised probation and directed to pay a $300 supervisory fee. His driver's license was revoked for 180 days.
