An apparent domestic dispute resulted in a charge of 1st degree arson being faced by Luciano Garcia, 36, rural Tama.
In court information, Garcia is accused of turning on a gas stove burner and turning on a second adjacent burner which "clicked but did not ignite, causing gas to be released" then fleeing the residence at rural Tama.
He is accused of a Dec. 6 altercation which occurred just before midnight in which he allegedly fought with two sons who were defending their mother and caused 13-year-old female to run to a bathroom, lock the door call police. These actions resulted in three counts of child endangerment being filed.

He is also accused of three counts of domestic assault for allegedly striking a wall while displaying a knife.
In addition, Garcia was charged with identity theft for allegedly possessing an identification of a person who may or may not exist including a social security card, Texas identification and a slip of paper with the name and Social Security number on it.
He allegedly provided false identify initially to law enforcement at the Meskwaki Casino - Hotel.
The charges were filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Jacob Molitor.
