On the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, as soldiers, sailors and airmen slept or went about their regular morning routines at Pearl Harbor, a mass of Japanese bombers approached through the air off the coast of Hawaii. Within hours, the Japanese had delivered what they thought was a crippling blow to the U.S. Navy. The U.S.'s involvement in World War II had begun.
Tomorrow (Saturday) marks the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
