Ginger Jefferson arraignment set for Thur., Nov. 14

Arraignment on a charge of 1st degree murder has been set for Nov. 14 for Ginger Lea Jefferson in Tama County District Court in Toledo.

Jefferson, 57, Toledo, was charged in the Sept. 25 stabbing death of her daughter-in-law, Kerry Lea O'Clair-Jefferson, 32, by Tama Police Chief Jeff Filloon.

Jefferson may enter an innocent or guilty plea at the arraignment. She continues to be held in the Tama County Jail on $1 million bond.

The charge was filed after Tama Police discovered O'Clair-Jefferson's body at a residence in the 100 block of Harmon Street at mid-afternoon.

A formal trial information in the case was filed on Nov. 1 by the Tama County Attorney's Office
