Before Judge Marsha M. Beckelman in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Joseph Steven Jackson, 27, Waterloo, entered a written guilty plea to possession of burglary tools and 3rd degree theft.
He received two-year prison sentences on each count which were suspended. Fines totaling 41,250 were also suspended. Jackson was placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay victim restitution.
He was charged with burglary on June 24 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak. The burglary tool possession charge was added in a County Attorney's information filed on July 18.
Michele Lynn Duncan, 43, LeGrand, entered a written guilty plea to 1st offense drunken driving. She was sentenced to two days in jail, fined $1,250 and directed to complete a 12-hour drinking driver's course.
One-half the fine amount may be reduced by the court if proof that an ignition interlock device is installed is provided.
The charge was filed on Oct. 19, 2012, in the 1200 block of U.S. Highway 30 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt.
